The Al Thani Collection loans marble figure to Greece in Rome at the Capitoline Museums

A marble figure from The Al Thani Collection is on loan at the exhibition Greece in Rome which opened on Friday 28 November 2025 at the Capitoline Museums in Rome.

The marbles presented at this exhibition at the Villa Caffarelli are rare survivals of classical Greek sculpture which have been found at different times in the city of Rome. They were carried off from Greece in ancient times to decorate the villas and gardens of wealthy Romans. They document the extraordinary depth to which Greek culture permeated Roman society, and how it was synonymous with distinction and power. The exhibition runs until 12 April 2026.
